Former Covenant House employee reaches plea deal in embezzlement case

A former Covenant House employee was sentenced this week to six months of home confinement and must pay restitution. Timothy Duff of Charleston faced several charges, including embezzlement and forgery, but as part of a plea deal, the felony counts were dropped and he pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of embezzlement, according to court records. He was sentenced to six months of home confinement and must pay $2,220 in restitution.
