People gathered at the Mingo County Commission meeting Tuesday afternoon to express their concerns with ambulance response times. Stat 911 is the only ambulance service provider in Mingo County. According to Chris Hall with the West Virginia EMS Coalition, the average response time for Stat 911 to get on scene of an emergency is about 16 minutes, but the Mingo County 911 Director said it is closer to 25 to 40 minutes. They’re looking for ways to speed that up.
