New ICE office sets up in Putnam County

A West Virginia branch of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement is making a new home in Putnam County. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has had a processing location at 405 Capitol Street in Charleston for more than a decade, but it’s moving to a newly-remodeled facility at the entrance of the Rock Branch Industrial Park. Eyewitness News said around fifteen employees will be based at this office, tasked with stopping cross-border crime and illegal immigration.
