PSC projects speed up to make use of federal funds

The Public Service Commission of West Virginia announced this week that it’s speeding up the processing of certain water and sewer projects to take advantage of $1.3 billion in federal incentives. The PSC said in a news release that recent legislation sets the guidelines that the more than $1.3 billion in SFR funds being offered to the state have to be obligated by December 31, 2024, and spent by December 31, 2026. Because of the deadlines, all project applications involving this funding must be turned in to the Commission by September 20 of this year. There’s more on the PSCWV website.
