According to a news release from the governor’s office, a state of emergency has been in four counties due to extensive forest fires. Those are Grant, Hampshire, Hardy and Pendleton counties. Gov. Jim Justice issued the declaration Thursday, which will allow state and local agencies in those counties extra resources and emergency response efforts in response to the fires.
