State trooper resigns amid child pornography investigation

A West Virginia State Police trooper has resigned following a child pornography investigation involving him. Senior Trooper R.A. Evick was immediately placed on administrative leave in late January following a tip the agency’s Internet Crimes Against Children received regarding potential child pornography being uploaded by one of its uniformed members, according to a news release from state police.
Evick was placed on leave, and resigned before the internal administrative investigation concluded. The results of the criminal investigation will be provided to the Cabell County Prosecuting Attorney.
