Businesses on MacCorkle Avenue have been dealing with construction and lane closures for the past two years and it will be another few months before the Kanawha City area is fully flowing again. Delays have been off and on as the project moves along. Charleston Area Medical Center, the CAMC Cancer Center, several restaurants, and an elementary and middle school continue to be impacted by the congestion. The West Virginia Dept. of Highways estimates that the road construction will finish this fall.
