Damage assessment from storms is ongoing

Kanawha County Commission, the Boone County Emergency Management and The West Virginia Emergency Management Division are undergoing storm damage assessments Friday after several inches of rain Thursday brought flooding to the area.A Weather Damage Survey has been created for anyone experiencing property damage due to flooding in the county. Photos are encouraged of any property damage. The Kanawha County survey can be found by clicking here or by contacting Kanawha County Planning and Development at 304-357-0570.The Boone County survey can be found here with assistance available by calling 211. The commission asked residents to make sure the damage was separate from tornado damage on April 2, which requires a separate survey.
