Marshall University’s 21st annual Empty Bowls fundraiser has been deemed a success. The School of Art and Design hosted, and each bowl was sold for $20. Organizers said each sale will provide 180 meals for families in need. Ceramics students spent three months creating more than 1,000 unique bowls that were sold during the event, and all of the proceeds go to the Facing Hunger Foodbank. The nonprofit serves more than 130,000 people in West Virginia, along with parts of Kentucky and Ohio.
