Two law enforcement agencies have officially come together to form a new agency in Mason County. The towns of Mason and Hartford City entered into an agreement that will have Hartford paying Mason for police services and Mason will have jurisdiction in both communities. The interlocal agreement became effective on Monday with a signing at the Mason Town Hall. Hartford had been without a police force since last fall when their long-time police chief Samuel Anderson passed away.
