Meteorologists report hurricane-like winds with Tuesday’s storm

The National Weather Service reported wind gusts of more than 100 mph with Tuesday’s storms, and parts of Huntington suffered damage. Tri-State Airport was one of the hardest hit areas and saw damage at the main terminal. High winds also knocked down trees and power lines, and at one point Tuesday night there were more than 138,000 people in the area without power. The damage is still being assessed.
