The mother charged in the death of her daughter in Boone County was in court Monday morning. Julie Anne Stone Miller of Morrisvale waived a preliminary hearing in Boone County Magistrate Court. Her case is now headed to a grand jury. Miller was charged with child neglect causing death after her daughter, Kyneddi, was found “emaciated to a skeletal state” earlier this month. Eyewitness News received documents through the Freedom of Information Act confirming Kyneddi Miller started homeschooling in February 2021 at the request of her mother. The West Virginia Department of Human Services, which oversees Child Protective Services, called the death a tragedy but said it could not discuss details of the case.
