Investigators with the West Virginia Public Service Commission have determined that Mountaineer Gas’ response to a widespread outage in November was “very appropriate and reasonable.” The PSC issued the memorandum following an investigation into the company’s response to outages on Charleston’s West Side in November. As part of the memo, the commission recommended the case be closed. A final order will be entered at a later date. A separate PSC investigation into West Virginia American Water’s response in the incident remains ongoing, as well as several customer lawsuits.
