Federal funds will aid healthcare centers across West Virginia

West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin announced nearly $25 million in funding to for healthcare services across the state. The additional funding comes from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to support 15 local health centers, provide enhanced child and maternal health services and advance research at West Virginia University. Projects include $1.7 million to WomenCare, Inc., Scott Depot; $1.4 million to Cabin Creek Health Systems, Inc., Dawes; $1.2 million to Lincoln County Primary Care Center, Hamlin, and $150,000 toward research at WVU.
