FEMA coming to help communities imoacted by April Storms.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Sunday that staff will be traveling through West Virginia to conduct surveys and assist with those needing aid after the storms in April. The announcement was due to a state of emergency being declared on Wednesday, with federal aid being granted to assist with those impacted. Staff will be visiting these communities starting June 1 and urge residents who experienced losses or property damage during the storms to apply for aid by July 22. FEMA officials say Disaster Survivor Assistance will be conducting outreach, helping register for FEMA assistance and checking the status of applications.
