First responders made a successful water rescue along the Kanawha River last Monday, bringing two teenage girls safely to shore. The teens lost control of a raft along the river near Malden, according to the Charleston Fire Department.Firefighters said the children hung on to a barge tie-up until a rescue team was able to reach them. The youth were taken to an area hospital to be evaluated.
