The grandparents of a 14-year-old Boone County girl who was found in a “skeletal state” have been charged in the investigation. Jerry and Donna Stone are charged with child neglect causing death. A criminal complaint filed Monday alleges the Stones failed to “exercise a minimum degree of care” to assure the 14-year-old’s safety. The arrests come a little more than a month after Kyneddi Miller was found n a home shared by the child, the child’s mother, Julie Anne Stone Miller, and the grandparents. Julie Miller was arrested and charged with child neglect causing death in April. Her case was sent to a grand jury.
