The Big Bend Golf Course in Tornado has been dealing with erosion problems since flooding in 2021. Crews having been working to restore embankments on the 3rd and 8th holes, a project that was originally expected to take about six month. There have closures on the front nine off and on, but now the course has fully reopened just in time for the summer season. The project came in under budget, at around $680,000.
