Huntington was named one of the best places to live and retire in recently. U.S. News ranked the town at No. 86 among the best cities to live in and No. 48 on the list of top places to retire in. The report cited low cost of living, outdoor and entertainment options, mild climate and easiness of transportation as factors in the ranking.
