A national search firm has been brought on to help in West Virginia University’s search for its next president. WittKieffer has been hired by WVU, which has more than 50 years of experience and has conducted more than 145 presidential and chancellor searches in the past five years. A selection committee reviewed 11 proposals from executive search firms and decided on WittKieffer after conducting interviews with four of the firms. The committee will meet on June 6 to continue the vetting process and will present the slate of nominees to the board of governors for review and endorsement during its June 21 regular meeting.
