A Maryland fugitive has been captured in West Virginia

U.S. Marshals captured a registered sex offender in West Virginia who was wanted in connection to a murder in Maryland. Emanuel Sewell of Chevy Chase, Maryland, was apprehended while traveling west on Interstate 64 past the Hurricane exit. Authorities say he was wanted for second-degree murder after a parole officer was found dead Friday evening following a scheduled visit to Sewell’s home. After spotting the suspect’s vehicle, US Marshall’s had to force him off the road during a short pursuit. Sewell was held at Western Regional Jail prior to his extradition back to Maryland.
