Emergency personnel in Putnam County have planned two training exercises this week involving the Army National Guard and Air National Guard. A mannequin placement exercise will be conducted on the Winfield Bridge today. And, on Wednesday, June 5, several agencies will conduct swift water rescue training at the Winfield boat ramp along the Kanawha River. The training will include boat and aviation hoist operations in addition to decontamination, command and control exercises.
