A new USA Karate Championship will be held in Charleston this fall. The All-American Class, a new USA Karate Signature Event focused on promoting youth competition, will be held in Charleston from Oct. 25-27, according to a news release from the Charleston Convention & Visitors Bureau. Both male and female junior karate athletes will compete at the inaugural event that is expected to become an annual fall competition. The two-day competition is expected to draw about 1,200 athletes, coaches, judges and staff and as many as 2,000 spectators.
