Investigators are working to identify human remains found by a group of kayakers in the Hocking River Saturday evening. Deputies responded to River Road in Guysville, Ohio and found the human remains after a search, according to a news release from the Athens County Sheriff’s Office.Firefighters from Richland and Rome were able to recover the remains. Sheriff Rodney Smith said the remains were those of an adult male wearing blue jeans, brown belt, and brown boots, and can’t be linked to any active cases or missing persons reports.
