Troopers are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman whose body was discovered in Lincoln County in what is now being considered a homicide investigation. An autopsy conducted by the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the woman died of a single gunshot wound, according to the West Virginia State Police. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about the possible identity of the woman are asked to call the West Virginia State Police Hamlin Detachment at 304-824-3101.
