West Virginia State University officials were there this week as Gov. Jim Justice signed a bill that will bring a new agriculture lab to campus. WVSU President Ericke Cage said a $50 million-dollar allocation will create lab space for the West Virginia Department of Agriculture and lab and classroom space for West Virginia State students and staff. Eyewitness News reported the lab will help grow agriculture programs including food science. The money was not on the final version of the budget bill for the regular session, but it was added and passed in the special session.
