Thursday evening at the Bell Track and Field Trials in Canada, West Virginia’s Ceili McCabe turned in a leading performance, completing the 3,000m steeplechase in 9:32.97 to win and earn a spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Well in control of this race, separating from the pack with a couple of laps to go she won by more than nine seconds. Round one of the Paris Olympics women’s 3,000m steeplechase is set for Sunday, August 4 with the finals set for Tuesday, August 6.
