Transportation officials announced this week that bids are being accepted for to rebuild a storm sewer system in Kanawha County. The State Dept. of Transportation is accepting bids to rebuild Rand’s storm sewer system, noting that streets owned and maintained by the state have been problem areas.
Engineers plan to run new storm sewer lines from Rand to the Kanawha River.
Additional proposals for Kanawha County include Frametown-Herold Road Overpass Bridge rehabilitation; Interstate 77 railroad renovation and paving at Belle ramp near Piedmont Road; and Route 94 paving from Hernshaw to the Boone County line.
