Firefighters battle fire in vacant house in Charleston

Firefighters battled a vacant house fire in Charleston Thursday night.Reports of the came in about 10:30 p.m. of a blaze to a home along Avon Street with dispatchers confirming the home was vacant but engulfed in flames. The Charleston Fire Department was able to control the fire, though the home experienced heavy damage. No injuries were reported, and the fire was contained to the single vacant home.The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
