New law requires drivers in Kentucky to move over for disabled vehicles

People driving in Kentucky need to slow down or move over for stranded motorists. The new law that went into effect Monday expands protections for law enforcement, highway crews, tow truck operators and other roadside workers.
Drivers will be required to move over a lane if it’s safe when they’re coming up on any vehicle with its flashers on or another type of warning signal. If the driver can’t move over, the law requires them to slow down.
