The Cabell County Board of Education will hold a special meeting today to vote on the transfer and allocation of certain funds. In a news release, Cabell County Schools Superintendent Tim Hardesty said he wants to restore funding to the Cabell County Public Library and the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District. Board members today will vote on the restoring those funds for fiscal year 2024-2025. If approved, the library system would get about $1.2 million and the Park and Recreation District would receive around $400,000. The special BOE meeting will be today at 5:30 pm.
