The future is uncertain for a Downtown Charleston building

The future of the iconic Union Building in downtown Charleston is still up in the air after a high bid in an auction earlier this year was rejected. Building owner Martin Riggs told Eyewitness News the $950,000 high bid in an auction in May was rejected and the future of the building is still being decided. The 13-story, 50,000-square-foot building is believed to be worth more than $1 million. The building, built in 1911, was once the tallest building in West Virginia and features a view of the riverfront and downtown areas.
