A Morgantown native will become the first West Virginia woman to go to outer space. Emily Calandrelli is the host of “Emily’s Wonder Lab” on Netflix, and announced this week that she’ll be flying to space on a future flight of Blue Origin’s New Shepard launch vehicle from the company’s launch site in west Texas. The private company has flown seven successful human flight missions in the past, and Calandrelli’s will be the eighth. It’s made possible by the Wing 2 Wing Foundation.
