A Charleston man was arrested Wednesday afternoon in St. Albans after a warrant was issued following his failure to appear in court in connection the shooting of a Huntington man. Darmarquis Patterson faces a first-degree murder charge after an investigation alleged that he, along with Malik Hawk, Lawrence Floyd and Matthew Daughtery, conspired to murder Chistopher Johnson in 2022. His co-conspirators entered a plea deal on conspiracy to commit murder charges in Cabell County Circuit Court. Patterson was taken into custody at 4 p.m. on Wednesday near Miracle Acres Family Housing in St. Albans and is being held at South Central Regional Jail without bond.
