Boone County mother awaits another hearing on bond request

The Boone County mother charged with child neglect that deputies believe led to the death of her 14-year-old daughter is making another bid for bond in hopes of getting out of jail pending trial. Julie Ann Stone Miller of Morrisvale is charged with child neglect causing death after Kyneddi Miller was found dead on a bathroom floor, “emaciated to a skeletal state” on April 17. In a motion filed late last month, Miller’s attorneys, Ronald Walters, Jr. and Beverly Hall, argue that Miller’s $250,000 cash-only bond is substantially higher than that of her parents, who are charged with the same crime. Donna and Jerry Stone have been released on $25,000 property/surety bonds since their arrestin May. They also allege Miller did not live in the same home as Kyneddi and said Kyneddi lived with her grandparents. The new bond motion said Miller maintains her innocence of all charges in the matter. A hearing is set for 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
