Therapy dog count grows to 34 with the newest addition

Point Pleasant High School is getting a therapy dog through the Friends with Paws program. The Friends with Paws program has been in existence for 3 years, and has put 34 therapy dogs in West Virginia schools, and it’s the only one of its kind in the nation. Farley is a golden retriever who has a new home at Point Pleasant High School, and will help students with anxiety, stress, and trauma. The Friends with Paws program is part of the state’s Communities in Schools program.
