Two resources companies have merged. CONSOL Energy Inc. and Arch Resources have combined in an all-stock merger to create an all-new company called Core Natural Resources, according to a social media post. CONSOL Energy Inc.oversees mining operations at the Itmann Mine in Wyoming County. Arch Resources oversees operations for a metallurgical mining complex in Beckley, plus three others. The merger will close by the end of the first quarter of 2025.
