Copper theft impacts a section of CAMC

Copper thieves temporarily shut off power at the Charleston Area Medical Center Saturday morning. A couple of people stole copper wiring from a temporary industrial HVAC system on the premises causing a breaker to trip, shutting off power to a section of the hospital, according to the CAMC spokesperson. The emergency power generator provided electricity to the effected part of the hospital before the power was quickly restored to normal.
