Residents of Milton were angry Tuesday night as they attended the city’s water board meeting. They’re sick of having dirty water. Milton Mayor Tom Canterbury recently said the water problem is due to an unauthorized fire hydrant usage, but people at the meeting weren’t buying it. Water board member Dakota Miller believes it’s old faulty pipes and said the board should take responsibility for not improving the pipes little by little over the years. Miller added the water testing shows high magnesium levels due to old pipes. The city has a $4.8 million water line and storage tank project in the works but has to wait on grants and other sources of funding before they can begin that project.
