Road work on I-64 bridge is underway at night but will need to work in daylight as well

Road work began Tuesday on Interstate 64 in Kanawha County. Crews are working around the clock to complete a rehabilitation project of an I-64 bridge near the Montrose Drive exit, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation. Work has been underway at night, but the agency said some work will have to take place during daylight hours. As a result, outer eastbound and westbound lanes of the interstate are closed. The road work may back up traffic significantly during the morning commute hours. The project is scheduled to be completed by Friday, Sept. 20
