Gov. Jim Justice announced that the next special session of the legislature will convene beginning Monday, Sept. 30. It will be the second special session of 2024. Justice’s office said he aims for the session to cover tax cuts, support for childcare and the appropriation of funds for other needs. The governor announced the special session in a video message Monday highlighting his goals.
