Wayne County deputies have arrested a man they said is a major drug dealer in the area. Sheriff Rick Thompson said the Wayne County Sheriff Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a home in Fort Gay after an investigation. Thompson said deputies found a safe inside the home filled with six pounds of methamphetamine. He said deputies also found a distribution amount of fentanyl, cocaine, Suboxone, marijuana, THC gummies, guns and nearly $10,000 in cash inside the home. Chad Salmons, 42, was arrested and faces multiple charges of possession with intent to deliver the aforementioned drugs. Salmons is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
