A Constitutional amendment is one of many issues West Virginia voters will decide on

In this general election, West Virginia voters are deciding whether or not to add an amendment to the West Virginia Constitution that would prohibit medically assisted suicide. Medically assisted suicide is defined as a doctor providing a patient who requests a prescription that the patient can self-administer to end his or her life. It’s illegal in West Virginia now, and legal in nine states. Early voting begins today (Wednesday, Oct. 23) and election day is Nov. 5.
