CAMC Cancer Center displays record-setting pink scarf during Breast Cancer Awareness Month

During this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the CAMC Cancer Center is displaying a section of the world’s longest pink scarf, a project inspired by Oak Hill resident Terri Lynne Massey, who lost her battle with cancer in 2010. The CAMC Foundation said family, friends and community members worked together to create the scarf which gained global attention and stretched two miles in length. The piece has since been repurposed into lap blankets and more than two dozen were donated to CAMC patients. Eyewitness News said Massey’s family have established an endowment fund for the CAMC Breast Center, raising $28,000 to support cancer patients.
