Detectives in Kanawha County are investigating crimes that may be attributed to a man apprehended by the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Taskforce. Leo Antonio Smith Jr., 21, was taken into custody last week after a Kanawha County Circuit Court judge issued an arrest warrant, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. The news release said investigators “have reason to believe that Smith was involved in other crimes here in Kanawha County where victims or witnesses have been reluctant to come forward.” Anyone with information on criminal activities involving Smith may contact detectives by dialing 304-357-0556.
