Marshall’s metro tuition rate expands to new areas of Ohio and Kentucky

Marshall University officials approved a resolution this week to expand metro tuition rate eligibility. The university’s Board of Governors noted the expansion covers counties in Ohio and Kentucky, now encompassing the cities of Lexington, Cincinnati and Columbus.The metro rate falls between resident and non-resident rates to remain competitive with other academic institutions. University officials reported more than 12,000 students are attending Marshall this semester, marking a 12% increase over the past two years.
