Two homes were destroyed by one fire in Barboursville this week, and a third home was damaged. Firefighters were called to the homes in the 600 block of Huddleston Avenue on Monday just before noon. The Barboursville, Green Valley, Ohio River Road, Ona and Milton fire departments all responded. While two homes were destroyed, a third suffered exterior damage from heat and smoke. The residents all made it out of the homes, but there were reports that one dog died in fire.
