Putnam County Animal Shelter benefits from a girl’s lemonade stand proceeds

9-year-old Bri Barger has a big love for animals, and decided she wanted to help shelter animals any way she could. Three years ago, Barger came up with the idea of setting up a lemonade stand where all of the profits would be used to purchase donations for the Putnam County Animal Shelter. Eyewitness News said one sale from over the summer raised more than $500. The Putnam County Animal Shelter went through a rough patch in 2023, but the director said they’ve done a complete turnaround, thanks to the generosity of Barger and others. The shelter could always use donations, including pet food and toys, and they welcome those who want to adopt and foster.
