The voter registration period in West Virginia is now closed and the polls are set to open on Wednesday for early voting. The latest numbers from the West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office on voter registration totals, as of October 17, continue to show gains for the Republican Party. It also shows that registrations for the third parties and those not affiliated with a party have increased. Totals for Democrat voters continue to go down. Early voting in West Virginia begins on Oct. 23 and lasts until Nov. 2. Election Day Is Nov. 5.
