The investgation continues after a minor plane crash in Kanawha County

Emergency services responded to a plane crash in Kanawha County that occurred Saturday afternoon. Reports of the crash came in about 2:30 p.m. at Mallory Airport in the Jefferson community and the aircraft involved was a small, single engine plane. According to deputies, there were three passengers onboard, a father and sons. The pilot was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the two passengers had minor bruises after the crash. Eyewitness News reported that the pilot was practicing touchdowns when a wind shift occurred, pushing the plane into a hillside. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
